Who Are We?
Description
FASCA (Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors) is a youth organization dedicated to preserving and sharing Taiwanese culture while building leadership, community, and connections among students. Through cultural performances, volunteer opportunities, and educational events, FASCA encourages students to celebrate their heritage, develop new skills, and make a positive impact in their communities. Our members work together to promote cultural understanding, create meaningful experiences, and represent the spirit of Taiwanese American youth.
Our Mission
Our Four Pillars
-
Educate students in Chinese and Taiwanese history/culture to cultivate pride in their identity
-
Develop and shape students into culturally aware, socially responsible leaders in and beyond their schools, communities, and careers
-
Create and collaborate Chinese and Taiwanese American networks, resources, and relationships to promote cultural awareness and broaden the influence of the Chinese/Taiwanese community
-
Leadership: FASCA inspires students to grow as confident leaders by developing teamwork, responsibility, communication skills, and the ability to make a positive impact in their communities.
-
Culture: FASCA celebrates and preserves Taiwanese culture by sharing traditions, language, arts, performances, and history with both Taiwanese and broader communities.
-
Service: FASCA encourages students to give back through volunteering, community involvement, and initiatives that create meaningful change.
-
Inheritance: FASCA connects generations by passing down Taiwanese heritage, values, and traditions to future generations while keeping cultural identity alive.
